Searching For Simplicity
(released in 1997 on Sony/550 Records)
In 1997 Gregg, Tommy Thompson, Tom Miller, Preston Thrall and myself went in to Fantasy Studios in Berkeley, CA with legendary Producer Tom Dowd (Clapton, Allman Bros., Skynyrd ect.) to cut 2 songs for Gregg's "Searching for Simplicity" cd. We were very excited and finished all the tracks for the songs "Memphis in the Meantime" and "Starting Over" in 3 days. It was an exciting time for all of us. We'd been playing many concerts together and really looked forward to doing some music in the studio. The basic tracks were cut live. The guitars I used were a Fender Stratocaster, Telecaster and Gibson Les Paul. For amps I used a vintage Fender Concert and Duane Allman's 59 Fender Bassman, courtesy of Gregg of course. It was a very memorable time for all of us!!!
